So I'm currently redirecting my blogger blog to my new domain name, but I'd LIKE to have a full website at some point.
Not right now...but eventually.
So...I don't want people to associate my domain name with my blog...does that make sense?
So...how do I create a page or subdomain that I can use (i.e., blog.twoangelsphotography.com or twoangelsphotography.com/blog) that will act as my blog? |

i asked my husband and this is what he said:
it sounds like you are ready for a host provider.
it always amazes me that you need to pay for the domain name, then pay somebody else to actual host your site, they probably pay someone else to create the site.
once you have a host provider, almost any provider will let you create subdomains and point them at different places. so you will probably just have them set up 'mydomain.com' and 'blog.mydomain.com' and point that second one to your site on blogger.
if you are using blogger and are going to keep blogging there, a subdomain is the way to go.
you will still have to have someone develop a web site for you, which can be expensive. my husband knows flash and bought a copy of flash cs4, so i think he's going to modify a free flash templates on flashmo.com when i am ready to set up my main site. for now i just use a blog too.
hope that helps! |
