$2.06 today. What stinks is that's now considered a great price. Hopefully, it'll go below the 2 mark. _________________ To plant a garden

Not too far below. The break-even point on oil is $56@barrel. Below that, and they start shutting down drilling and exploration.
Then I wouldn't be able to afford these really nice graphics cards... |

No, I did not make the Avatar. I pinched them. I have a whole lot stored away.
Do you want some? I sent them all to Red but maybe he did not receive them. Or too lousy to distribute them. _________________ regards, Peter

Poor baby, it doesn't look, according to your avatar, that things are getting better for you. I still remember the ouch from prices in Australia. _________________ To plant a garden

My apologies to anyone who read this post yesterday - the figures that I gave were total !!
Here are the correct figures (they are even worse ) :
Gas got to over GBP 4.16 per US gallon ($6.24 US) here a while back but now it has come down a bit to GBP 3.40 (about $5.10 US)...
It should be noted that we pay very high tax on fuel, though.
Note: Gas is priced in litres here (we currently pay 0.90 per litre). We used to buy in gallons but a British gallon is larger than a US gallon (UK = 1.2 US approximately). I used to think that it was simply because a US pint is 16 fluid ounces whereas a British pint is 20 fluid ounces (8 pints in a gallon); however, according to this site, fluid ounces are also slightly different in size (US = 1.041 UK)! It is a shame that they cannot spell litre though!
