Got the fridge fixed. Rand a chap in Ballina and he suggested the 240 heating element was not working. He put in the new element and all's well

Dear all
We had a bit of a mishap in our van (XK630) while away in January. Monte called up Peter and he was very patient trying to figure out why our water tank kept overflowing.
It was a nasty surprise to wake up to wade through our lounge room.
On Peter's advice we cleaned the filter, blew air through all the pipes and changed valves.
It turned out that the pipe on the pump had dislodged, depressurising the line letting water flow from the Colorado when all the taps were shut!
Anyway, Monte is now an expert on our van's plumbing! But it was so comforting to have Peter on the end of the phone - we would have been lost without him!

| There is something problem with your electric circuit board. For the assurance, you should bring it to a repair man. With this, they can check the problem that is occurring in your fridge. |

Hey Denis give me a call, I think I know what it could be, it requires some PCB work but if your game I'll talk you through it. I had my fridge do the same, after 2 days I worked it out and kicked myself for 2 days afterwards!

My guess is that there is power to the switch, from then on there is a break in the circuit.
Possibly a transformer to reduce the power from 240v to 12v.
To prevent getting electrocuted, a service technician should be employed.

G'day, sounds very unusual. I would check with the manufacturer to see if there is an internal fuse. Not sure if the light comes on if there's a loose wire somewhere. Have you checked to see if the cables are secure? It might pay to measure any current fluctuation at a spare outlet as you switch the fridge on and off.
Cheers, Joe |

Hi. My 3 Way fridge in our 535 is operating well on gas and 12v but not on 240v. The light comes on at the switch but it won't get cold or stay cold after coolong with either 12v or gas.
Any helpful ideas?? |
