Id like to have a simple but strong anti-theft device that does not cost too much and does not weigh too much.

Other than the Rob Stop made for the Winterhoff 3000 hitch, and coming in at about $390 there are a couple of ingenious ways I have heard from owners to stop the old thief. One is to put in a loose ball or manually activate the latch under the hitch so the handle will close in the highway mode then loop a chain through this handle and under the a frame and lock it off. Heavy chain can leave dirty marks, a bike lock that is thick and has a plastic sleeve on it works fine. To double this up also put a lighter bike lock or pin through the two holes under the hitch that normally facilitate the rob stop. Hope this helps

Catch you on the track

If you ring or check Jaycar the electronic store they have a antitheft alarm in their current flyer that should do the job and it is not expensive. The can also supply over the phone. It should also be on their web page. Regards Ross
