Hi All.
We have just joined the wonderful world of Geist having purchased a 2006 Xk 565. I was pleasantly surprised to find it has under floor heating. However, there are no instructions about using and maintaining it. Can anyone help? |

| I assume you have a gas heater below a cupboard with outlets all around the caravan near the floor. If this is the case let us know and I can help you. |

Hi BobD. We have the gas heater with the outlets, too. Any information you can give would be useful.
With the under floor heater there seems to be a couple of containers in the wardrobe. One contains a yellowish fluid. Actually I'll have to check again to see what exactly is in the wardrobe! Not sure whether there is one or two containers. |

Tim,
Are you saying you have a gas heater plus a separate underfloor heater?
I can help with the gas heater but I have never seen an underfloor heater. |

Tim,
Did you need any help with the gas heater? This has vents that circulate air all around the floor of the caravan so I have no idea why one would also add an under floor heater. The caravan will roast just with the gas heater if you want it to. |

| Hi, we have just picked up our new (to us) XK 550 and that has the underfloor heating as well. The dealer we bought it from couldn't get it working but I just wondered if anyone else has experience of this, which I think was an optional extra when bought new? We haven't had a chance to try it out yet but will post when we do. |

I too am in the UK.....I have heard of quite a few non-working underfloor heating problems. Mainly on Adria's but general feeling is that the elements breakdown over time....
Not ideal - my xk630 has warm air from the air con and then additional truma blown air heating as we rally in the winter. It has the underfloor heating 240v only but I have never used it. |
