*** NBL's Christmas Classic Takes Over Columbus ***

NBL BMX News -- 12/08/2006
More than 2,500 BMXer's will take over the
Columbus Convention Center for the annual NBL
Christmas Classic and President’s Cup for three
exciting days of BMX Racing action.

The three-day long event, a tradition on the NBL's
National Series Schedule, will take place at the
Columbus Convention Center from December 26-29, 2006.

There will be a full day of practice by age group on
Tuesday, December 26th followed by the 22nd Annual
President’s Cup, a state-vs-state competition, on Wednesday,
December 27th.

Additional practice will be available on Saturday,
December 23rd.

This event is open to all rookie, novice, expert, girl,
cruiser, and elite NBL riders who have earned a state
ranking of #1-#15 within their state. Special Silver
Cups will be awarded to all riders who make their
respected main events.

The showcase event, the NBL Christmas Classic, takes the
stage on Thursday and Friday, December 28th and 29th and
features full-blown National Amateur and Elite level racing
each day.

As part of Thursday’s Elite Series program, Elite and
Junior riders will also earn valuable UCI Continental
Series points in addition to NBL National Elite Series points.

The NBL has added some additional flavor to the program
on Thursday with a special KING OF FLATS race, open to
30 & Over amateur riders and a cool Old School BMX bike
museum and show.

*** President's Cup Update And Day 1 Begins ***

NBL BMX News -- 12/28/2006
The NBL's President's Cup kicked off three days of race
action at the Columbus Convention Center with bang.

The event, based on local classes, features a State vs.
State team format and after the last main had crossed
the line, no clear winner was evident. Did Florida once
again win the title on Ohio's turf or would the host state
or even Michigan lay claim to the title?

An exciting evening of Pro Practice capped off a great day
of racing and the Pro Section will showcase the true talents
of the International field of riders attending.

Day 1 of the Christmas Classic starts December 28
at 9am EST and includes the 2nd UCI North American
Continental points race for the Elite and Junior classes.

Versus network is filming the event for broadcast in early
Spring of 2007 in what will be one of eight shows focused
on NBL Racing and UCI events.

*** Ohio wins President's Cup / Caluag and Hayashi win UCI Elite ***

NBL BMX News -- 12/29/2006
The NBL's President's Cup kicked off three days of race action at the
Columbus Convention Center with bang and Ohio was finally able to
take away the title from Florida in dramatic style. Both states earned
the required 10 wins so the tie breaker went to total wins and Ohio
came out on top.

Top 3 - Ohio, Florida, Indiana

Elite Series / UCI recap:

Intense's Danny Caluag proved his staying power by earning his first
double winning the UCI and Elite Open mains. Kuwahara's Matt Pohlkamp
and teamate Warwick Stevenson topped off the podium in the UCI event.

Redline's Kim Hayashi continued to dominate the Elite Womens class but
she had to hold of Supercross's Samantha Cools down the last straight
to keep her streak alive. Cools rode in for 2nd ahead of Rachel 'Thunder'
Smith.

GT's Joey Bradforda and Amanda Geving won their respective UCI junior
classes. Redline's Jason Carnes won Masters edging out GT's Eric Rupe
and Mike Kapes of Profile / J&R won the Super-Ex class.

Day 2 of the Christmas Classic starts December 29 at 8am EST.

Mongoose-GT At NBL/UCI BMX Ohio Event

Columbus, Ohio -- December 26th - 29th, 2006
Since we dont see much from Schwinn in the BMX Race Dept,
Here is some hot news with in the Pacifc Cycle umbrella from
this last weeks BMX event, the NBL Christmas Classic and the
President's Cup in Columbus, OH. ( A UCI Elite Series Event )

Mongoose`s long time BMXer Eric Rupe basically has moved
within the Pacifc Cycle company, Eric Rupe is now flying and
riding the GT bicycles Logo.

"Mr. Mongoose", Eric Rupe was sportin' some
slick lookin' GT threads. NICE! RIP Mongoose BMX!
