*** A Schwinn BMX Forum Rant And A Rave? ***
Being someone that help push the fact of getting Schwinn
to give us this Schwinn BMX Forum and being a BIG BIG
Schwinn Junki Iv been seeing some stuff in here that is
not to par to have to look at and makes this place look
more like a bigger joke than it was from the get go. So
Im going to point out a few things to everyone in hopes
that it will clean its self up. You may or may not agree with
what Im pointing out, but fare is fare my friends. If I have to
look at your crap, its not going to hert you to look at mine.
Ok here we go::::::
Thread: heres some predators.
http://www.schwinnbike.com/heritage/showthread.php?t=42686
The bikes look cool in the URL.
But I think it just flat out SUCKS! that other people can
post up off site URL links to Schwinn stuff in here but I
can not or Schwinn gos sideways with me. It just Sucks
is all, your lucky, Im not I guess. It would be nice to beable
to post the Schwinn BMX Catalogs URL`s in here to help
people. But heck we cant even do that. - I guess some
people must be tuched by the Schwinn gods to beable to
post up other URL links in here.........
And some more drama:: Some people even get away
with posting Non-Schwinn BMX posts in here. How cool
is that with this being a Schwinn BMX Forum. Go figger
you would be surfing in the Schwinn BMX Forum to look
for an off-brand BMX that is not a Schwinn bike at all...
Im not a forum cop but I am someone that respects
Schwinn giving us this Schwinn forums board to chat
"Schwinn BMX". I just wish others would respect that.
Here are just some of them Off topic Threads found.
Thread: hutch pro street catalog page 1987
http://www.schwinnbike.com/heritage/showthread.php?t=42681
Thread: Sears 1978 Screamer BMX bicycle
http://www.schwinnbike.com/heritage/showthread.php?t=37650
Thread: '79 36/36 frame ( X2)
http://www.schwinnbike.com/heritage/showthread.php?t=42608
http://www.schwinnbike.com/heritage/showthread.php?t=42609
Lots more off topic Threads found. It don`t take much to
find them. So you surf for them if you want to see more.
I thought this was a Schwinn BMX Forum. My eyes must
have read this place wrong I guess. ( Stay on topic Please )
And for the guys that where spatting about the Schwinn Decals,
Surf ebay and you will find them it took me less then 3 mins to
find what you both where looking for. Shake hands and part all
the drama posts. - You both know better than that. If people
want to see drama, turn on the TV and watch a day time sope.
And if your going to keep up the drama both of you need to
get together and video it so we can put it on Youtube. - LOL
Just my rant and rave about it all. - Like it or not.........
Less try and better this Schwinn BMX Forum and not
make it in to a trash hole like most of the other places
out there.
And PING! Schwinn Mods, Can we please at least
beable to post up URL links to the Schwinn BMX
Catalogs to help people with Schwinn BMX questions?
Please Reply a Yes or No so people will know what
can and can not be done here on this Forums board.
Thanks,

my 2 cents
being a collector of all sorts of bikes from ballooners, some non schwinn
muscle bikes, schwinn krates, stingrays, customs and all kinds of bmx bikes
(schwinn included) i have found a lot of parts and help from a lot of people
for a lot of non schwinn stuff. to me this is an all around valuable site to
people like me and probably others too. just my 2 cents! |

Really, you sure like to act like it.
Is there really a need for this drama? I seem to remember similarly
dramatic threads started by you where you announced that you were
leaving here and never coming back a year or two ago. What happened
with that? Just looking for attention?
People come here to talk BMX. Most share a love for Schwinn and most
share a love for BMX in general. I don't see people going crazy in the
collectors or restoration forums when someone wants to talk non-schwinn.
It all promotes the hobby.
This board is still heavily Schwinn, if the moderators had a problem with
any of the other stuff I am sure they would delete it. Also, if they wanted
you to be a moderator, I am sure they would ask you. Until then, stop
getting all revved up and just relax man. |

Feel free to find the EXIT sign and follow it if you're not happy here, Gene. |
*** Schwinn Balls - anyone have any? ***
anyone have any?
Im looking for a set of them.
EXIT sign? well if im not welcome here and thank you for locking
that thread after I kill filed it. Nothing like having trash to look at.
Least I post SCHWINN BMX in here. But I guess this is not the
place to post Schwinn BMX? What, no Answer to my question
that I asked in that thread since you re-posted it up and locked it.
Can I please ask you to RE-remove/ kill file that post.
Is that to much to ask? Do you like looking at that trash?
But I have to tell you, I am in need of a set of Schwinn Balls
for my Schwinn BMX bike. But all I can find is other brands like
Redline or Hutch. So where does a person find Schwinn Balls?
So Is this the place to find a set of Schwinn Balls? _________________ Geneb...Wenatchee,Washington-USA

What are you talking about Ryan, Schwinn is trash in the first place.
They just like to roll around in the trash on that forum is all. That
Schwinn2 Administrator is trashy for telling people to hit the door.
I bet Schwinn sales are down this next quarter becouse of him telling
people to get out of the forums. Bets anyone? I have 20 that says so.

Oh no, the Schwinn2 Administrator deleted my Balls. "LOL"
But Schwinn is known for the word "delete" that is why we
back things up. I was ahead of the game before it startted.
I just do not get it why they would re-list my post after I
deleted it in the first place. There are always crazy nut jobs
out there that make you wonder why.
Schwinn Balls - anyone have any? - Commentary Quote page.
( http://www.genesbmx.com/schwinn-balls.html ) added more,
and full story from my point of views - So STICK IT! Schwinn.
E-mail it to your friends or who ever. Also,
The web search bots will pick it up this way. + it looks better too.
What more can I say, But " Hey,
With all due respect, - It say that in the Geneva Convention,
Schwinn2 Administrator - you brought it on to your self".
LOL that sound like Chip, you brought it on to your self"
My kids are winners and winners get to do what they want to.

Subject: Schwinn Forums Post Question?
To: Schwinn2 Administrator, And Schwinn And Mo Moorman,
Why was my post Re-listed and locked after I deleted it my self?
http://www.schwinnbike.com/heritage/showthread.php?t=42687
I deleted this post in the first place as I did not want a internet
war started. I do not get why you re-listed it. I don`t realy care.
Is all Im asking is, Can you please REMOVE the post in all so
bad PR about Schwinn don`t start showing up as it is. I would
think Schwinn has a hard enuff time making sales to par and with
this its more of an ounch......
Sorry for even posting it up in the first place, Thats why I removed
it my self after I seen the war posts show up. Sorry to point out that
there is some off set content on your Schwinn Forums BMX.
I will not point it out ever again. - but people do talk else wheres.
Iv had over 80 emails asking me why Schwinn re-listed the post.
So Iv went out of my way and made a web page to show my
views on why and what I think, so I don`t have to keep replying
emails. Sorry for the bad PR but people do have questions that
are abound about why you re-listed a post after it was removed.
And one more question Schwinn2 Administrator
Why is it that you nick pick just on me for trying
to help the brand name Schwinn? It seems we have
a past. I say, let it go and move on, what ever your beef
is with just me. The name Schwinn don`t need the bad
PR is how I see it. Is all I do is try to help as I love the
brand name Schwinn. So, What do you say? let it go?
Please in all, remove that post and let it go.
That is why I re-moved it my self in the first place.
Mo Moorman,
Is there something that can be done to let my self
and other people to be able to post URL links in the
Schwinn BMX Forum to and from the web page, The
Schwinn BMX Catalogs Time Line Page.
http://genesbmx.bmxair.com/schwinn/catalogs/bmx.html
The page is all Schwinn BMX only.
If you look, alot of people tip toe around in the Schwinn
bmx forums to give the info to the URL its self to people
with questions. I would think it would help better Schwinn`s
name if people where able to just post up the URL`s so that
they would not have to tip toe around to give other people with
questions about Schwinn BMX bikes the help. Not to say,
Schwinn BMX forum is the only place on the world wide web
that where I have seen in over 11 years where a forums post
board administrator throws shuch a fit for posting anything
from my bmx web site pages on a forums board. I ask why?
But it would be nice to help Schwinn out with letting the URL
links to be posted in the Schwinn BMX Forums board. A reply
on this alone would be nice as alot of people would like to
post them there. Communication replys from your Forums
Administrators about this topic are of lack when asked.
Thank you for your time, and I will be looking for that
post to be re-moved. - Schwinn`s Biggest BMX Fan,

Gene`s BMX News -- 03/31/2007
I guess Gene`s BMX has been ban from the Schwinn Forums.
It looks like all of my posts are gone and the account is froze.
- Oh well not my loss. I guess this is saying it is ok for other
people to post URL links to the Schwinn Catalog Time Line Page?
I have nothing to lose now if people do, Iv been ban from there.
So, Do as you do everyone...... LOL I guess there are ways to
do things even if it takes getting ban from a place you look up to.
That Schwinn2 Administrator is some strange dude. "backwards"
It has some bad attitude problems and giving that it makes
Schwinn bicycles look sad. Oh well, Schwinn is what the
people that work for them make of it. - They look sad.......
But I will do you one better - Schwinn Forums Administrators,

the guy that sweeps the office floors at Schwinn, I invite you and
I welcome you to surf, post, over at my bmx web site at any time.
I guess Schwinn can not say anything like that
to me now that they have ban me from there site.
Im alot better than they are, I have more PRIDE!

That is sad Schwinn bans Gene for trying to keep Schwinn rolling but then
they let other people post on the Schwinn BMX Forums with foul language
in them and with links to non Schwinn things. Look at that youtube video
on there nothing about Schwinn in it and lots of foul language. How nice.
I found 24 threads over on the Schwinn BMX Forum that are non Schwinn
posts that are trash talk and 5 of them with links to adult content. Funny.
Gene has a good point and he gets ban for that?
Im going to think twice before I buy anything with the Schwinn name on it. |

Funny Drama.
but gene does have a real good point.
I love the balls question It is a Schwinn question.
Are them the same logo balls on your sting gene?
It does look like that Schwinn2 Administrator guy has some sort of
beef for gene for some reason? I love the rebuttal sticky post on the
Schwinn BMX forum.
Copyed from the Schwinn BMX Forum:
Schwinn2 Administrator:
The title of this forum is "BMX Forum"
Schwinn added this forum to its lineup of message boards after receiving many many requests
from bmx enthusiasts. We are very pleased to provide it.
Schwinn did not name it the SCHWINN BMX Forum, but simply the "BMX Forum". Why? Because
we gladly encourage the open discussion of all things BMX. From today's race scene to 1970s
old school, and everything in between. Whether your bicycle of choice is Schwinn, or
Mongoose, or Hutch, anything in between, you are free to discuss it here. Free of personal
attacks and bad behavior found at other message boards.
If you find links to offensive material while surfing this forum, please report the
post to the moderators using the tool in the upper right corner (a triangle with an exclamation mark
inside).
Enjoy your visit!

Gene,
Sorry you got banned. We worked hard in getting that forum started.
I heard from several parties they have had issues with that particular moderator. I haven't as yet. But when 10 people tell you a dog stinks, better hold your nose when walking by.
Suppose I will be on his hit list for even saying that (lol). |

Seth,
A run down on the Balls for ya. LOL
The balls on my new sting bike are made of plastic.
Most everything on ebay that iv seen is made of plastic
and the Schwinn logo is only half of the ball. cheap made.
so thats what is on my Sting bike, the cheap ones.....
The person was asking me about the older balls on my ENF.
I took the ENF bike to an event last year and did not remove
my glass balls from it and people talk.
The balls on my ENF bike are made of glass or marble I
still don`t realy know what it is but one of the two or both
and the Schwinn logo gos around the full ball with a metal
thread to thread down on the valve stem. Made with pride.
The queston was where to find them to day.
Iv yet to see them on ebay. Not many made.
The place I got my balls from is not around anymore
just out side of Portland, Oregon so who knows where
to find them.
So now we know about the balls LOL.
I dought we see any help from the Schwinn BMX Forum
Administrator to help find where they where made. They
are to much drama-tized in deleting and banning people
to help people find answers to Schwinn BMX questions,
drama is all they know about LOL . It does not take much to
see that. Sad attitudes. As said, Schwinn is what the people
that work for them make of it. - And they show it well.
That post over there is cute after they ban me for who
knows what. LOL but Your right Seth, they are a big joke. _________________ Geneb...Wenatchee,Washington-USA

Schwinn is offensive now maybe you can try out a Redline.

Like anyone is going to show Schwinn where offensive material is after they
make a point to get rid of some one for showing them stuff in the first place.
Right on. Nice try with that but that is messed up.
That would be suicide. I have a gun that way is faster.

Shad,
I agree with some of your points for sure.
Please everyone keep in mind that what management did wasn't right, and I assume Gene knows full well my feelings on the entire situation, but there are still are good people on those forums that love BMX in general. So please don't blast the entire membership for what a member of management may have done. Gene and worked hard on getting that forum approved and I am very dishearten this happened.
Well, the real Schwinn's are long gone anyway. Many still apprecaite the Schwinn catalogs here on Gene's site, that I had a very small part in helping with, same can't link from Schwinn but can from other sources.
All I had to say. Please don't blame the Schwinn community for this. Most all my bikes are real Schwinn's anyway with exception of the 2005 Sting.
As always, just my opinion. If Schwinn Management can't respect that then they will ban me as well.

why do anything over on schwinn forums if is all they are going to do is delete your posts

Hi, Gene. Just got back from traveling so I’m catching up …
We can’t change our policy to allow links to/from our site – it opens too
many doors that really need to stay closed and would require a lot more
moderation than we can deal with! Hope you understand. I know your site
is great and has a big section dedicated to Schwinn BMX (quite a history
treasure trove), but if we did it for one, we’d have to do it for all and that
just can’t happen.
Sorry things didn’t work out. Mo

Mo Moorman,
Sorry to drag you in to all of this but you are the Schwinn man.
Yes I do understand the reasons about the links but what I do not understand
is why do other people get to post links/chat to-on other off topic schwinn stuff
in the Schwinn forums? - Is that policy?
Is that a Schwinn BMX forum or a Haro bmx forum? It looks mixed up having
non-schwinn stuff being chatted on a official Schwinn web site I would say.
The idea of asking to post the links to my site IE the Schwinn BMX Catalog
links was a thought to help keep the links/chat on topic of schwinn. It does looks
backwards as it is now. - Ounch I will say. But I do respect your policy about links.
It is a strange twisted policy at that.......
Also I do not understand why I was BAN from your forums for pointing out people
posting off topic schwinn posts in your forums and asking about having you guys
look in to the fact of letting me and others post links to the catalogs to help others
with questions about Schwinn bmx bikes. - `strange'...... I guess if people want to
chat/talk other brands like haro, hutch, people need to go to the Schwinn bmx forum?
But if people want to chat/talk Schwinn BMX they have to go some place else?
That is a twisted plot I would say...LOL .. Go look at the Schwinn BMX forum your
self and tell me it does not lead you to think that is how it is there. Thats what I see.
I have no idea what your forums mod guys beef is with me? but in all it makes schwinn
look bad as it has alot of people asking and wondering why I was ban from there.
I also have to say,
Nice forums Sticky posted on the top of the Schwinn BMX Forum
after iv been ban. Is this a way to blast back at me, the consumer?
That makes Schwinn look realy good...... `geee, give me a brake'.
The blast back from me being ban from your forums on my site is my views in the eyes
of a consumer about schwinn and its doings and also letting people know Im not there
becouse I was ban for reasons unknown - I would like to know the reason why I was
ban from your Schwinn forums? It would be nice to know that much. What other people
reply in other news forums in the web, people have the right to voice off there thoughts.
I realy look up to you guys, Schwinn, past and today, I also respect your requests
in policys but I have to tell you, them policys look backwards and does make the
schwinn name look sideways. But since Iv been ban from your Schwinn forums
for un-known reasons Im startting to think why even bother in helping push the name
schwinn in the BMXing community online and off-line. Over the last few days Iv
seen some wicked reply posts about me being ban from your forums that downs the
name schwinn in all big time, just not on my web site forums but on the web its
self. Words in the waves of the web is like a wildfire. It would be nice to blast back
at some of them to say they wrong on what they are saying about schwinn but
being ban, Im somewhat forced in to having to agree with them in schwinns doings.
Sorry to bother you, I hope you had a good traveling trip.
I wish schwinn was on better terms, sad, just sad........
