*** Wenatchee Swakane Canyon Fire 9/4 ***

Fire crews tonight are monitoring a grass and brush fire that
has scorched an estimated 50 to 100 acres north of the mouth
of Swakayne Canyon, near 97-A.

Jim Duck with Central Washington Interagency Communication
Center says three helicopters, four or five engines and a couple
of hand crews battled the blaze.

Duck says as of six p.m., no structures were in immediate
danger although there are some buildings in the vicinity.
