*** Oregon BMX - Nike Grant Fund ***

Gene`s BMX Notes:
This is a good opportunity for Oregon BMX Track Operators
to get some extra funds for there BMX tracks, racing events.

Portland, Oregon -- 05/07/2010
Nike launches $1.5 million Employee Grant Fund to create
positive change in the Portland region through physical activity.

Nike employees not only participate in review of grant applications,
they will be volunteering their time and expertise to contribute to
nonprofits' success!

Nike Employee Grant Fund Overview

The Nike Employee Grant Fund was established at The Oregon
Community Foundation in 2010. Through this fund, Nike employees
will work with OCF to award $500,000 per year to local nonprofits.

This is Nike's "backyard" program, engaging employees in aiding
nonprofits in communities where local Nike employees live – Clackamas,
Columbia, Multnomah, Washington and Yamhill counties in Oregon and
Clark County in Washington. Grants will be one-year awards, generally
between $5,000 and $20,000.

Most grants will be awarded through the lens of sport, for projects
that use sport or physical activity to leverage other community benefits,
but some grants will be awarded for projects that address broader family
and children's issues.

Program Timeline & Process

May 3, 2010, marks the launch of the program, with the first grant
applications due June 15. Applicants will be using an online application
system, OCF's first program to go this route. Two grant cycles will
occur each year:

* Proposals submitted May 1-June 15 receive
a formal OCF board decision in September

* Proposals submitted October 1-November 15
receive a formal decision in February
