If you've been to the Enumclaw BMX Track you know it's been lacking... Currently there are 4 berms about 1/3 the size they need to be, and one set of doubles...
Well, this Friday 6 dumptruck loads of dirt are being delivered and what is already on the track is going to be reorganized into a starting hill and first turn. Then on Saturday two more loads are being delivered. All in all 8 loads in addition to what is already there. Should make for a substantial improvement.
Folks are showing up Saturday morning at 8am to start digging. So feel free to swing by Sat Aug 12th to see how it's coming along!

Well we had the work party and a good 30 or so workers showed up! Things are going very well and I'll try to get some pics posted asap this week. Nothing on the track is huge, but the kids were having a great time. Track so far runs a little like this:
Starting hill into a 90degree first turn. We did this because the first straight wasn't long enough for speed so we got creative here.
First straight is two doubles into a nice 180 berm. Then out of that we have a step up into another double, berm, then 8 pack. berm. we didn't have enough dirt to add anything after the 4th turn but if the track stays in good clean condition I expect the city may help us add on later!

Well, Paul DeStafano of DeStafno Photography was out at the track during the work part and took some AMAZING pictures. I'd love to see this guy get into more extreme sports photography. Here's one he emailed me:

Wow! sounds like there was a good turn out of people....
30+ people for a work party, you can`t beat that, as
at some BMX tracks, the rider count is low like 5 -10
and thats the events. I say that is way cool on the
amount of people you had there.............
Your photo looks like everyone having lots of fun
working and riding it. It would be nice to see some
photos of it all. BTW: the URL like you posted is 404
and does not work. _________________ Geneb...Wenatchee,Washington-USA
