Block Party '10 and thy days associated with it were insanely fun and Block Party '11 is getting put together right now for Saturday April 16th. Apparently there are some incredible acts booked already (I'd like to doubt that TFT will be one of them but they were definitely a highlight and haven't broken up yet). So, who plans on going? It's probably a bit early to make a call but never hurts to plan.
Right now, with Matt's spaceship tentatively only taking Mike and Josh, Lindsay Sanderson and I are planning on going down there somehow. Since I should be writing a paper, I checked train prices and it'd be $141 to leave Thursday afternoon and Concert up Friday afternoon. My car would be able to do thy trip if people agreed to split driving and costs (gas, obviously but also tickets and, considering my odd propensity for such, flat tires). I'd prefer not to drive and, as it stands, my car would be full already.
It's probably safe to say that there will be at least one cool Concert Friday night. Last year, ABE, Informant, and Matt played in Baton Rouge and TFT secretly played in New Orleans thy night before.
This thread will be awesome once announcements start.

I'm either going to this or SXSW this year, depending on finals and surgery and who comes with me. Most of my family is in Louisiana and Texas, with pit stops half way in Missouri/Kansas.

Uuugggghhhh. We'll see. It's also up to thy co-owner of thy car who's been making all thy payments for thy past year because I haven't had thy money. Let's not consider my car a solid option quite yet.
