Can someone explain the 'roll out' concept - Is it the revolutions required to make a full wheel turn? Am I even in the ball park?? Confused

That is pretty much it.
The lower the rollout, the faster the cranks spin to travel the same distance.
To calculate it : front teeth ,divided by back teeth, times wheel diameter.
41/16*20=51.25
