| Nice bike Walker! The pictures don't do the frame color justice at all. |

Nice bike Walker!!
Well I must say -- I raced Leroy's 29'er last week and it was great. The turning was not a problem....the only thing that I noticed was getting it out hole or up to speed. Once to speed the bike is flawless...
Question is....If you were going to race in Florida and could only have one bike - which one?
In my novice opinion, I think a light FS 26'er maybe the way to go...
I would love to have both, but Momma would never go for that

I completly under stand what you are saying about getting up to speed, but after the 12 of Santos I was sold. I would pass people constantly in the Red Trail but as soon as we hit the flats I just could not keep up. Good luck none the less finding what you're looking for.
Did you race the Police/Fire Games? I spoke with Todd the other day, I believe it was you he met and mentioned.
Rock On... |

| I did the 6 hr at Alafia and aside from the get going quick part, cruising speed is well above what you can maintain on a 26'r. The Jet is also way faster off the start than my Spec Stumpjumper comp, which is a bit of dog off the start. |

I recently bought a 29er. I do not have issues with turning. Once up to speed, the momentum will outweigh the issue of getting up to speed. At the 6 hours of alafia, two of my friends raced on the same team but one with a 26er and the other with a 29er. They are both about the same in speed.
The friend with the 29er was turning lap times a minute to two minutes faster. |

Yea I did the Police/Fire games -- I had a blast...Is Todd the guy that puts on the Fire race??
I guess I'm gonna just buy me a new 26'er frame and spend the $$ on a 29'er...then I'm set
