Here is my idea, thinkin this summer Ridge Riders could get together at Alafia State Park. We all know that Alafia offers some pretty good mountain biking, but I'm thinking we combine it with a day of fun on the river. If you have not seen the Alafia River, you are missing out. The outpost rents canoes and kayaks, or bring your own. Camping at the park is only minutes away from the river. Anybody interested?

Good idea. I always enjoy it when I canoe down the Alafia. Combine it with mountain biking and you have a good weekend plan! |

| I havent been over there in a while, but, does the river have enough water back in it for canoing? Last time I took it over there the river was pretty much empty. The launch ramp was just mud. Just curious. |

I have checked with the park, no other special events scheduled that weekend. Many campsites are availiable now. Booking early will help assure you get a good site. I would not recommend choosing sites 21-24, these sites can flood during heavy rain. J9 and I will be camping at site #19 |

Hmmm...this looks like a lot of fun! I am thinking maybe and leaning towards yes. I recently paddled out to an island and camped on it (no biking involved). However, I have never "booked a campsite" and don't know anything about the process. _________________ "The score never interested me, only the game." --Mae West |
