OK Peeps-
The trails took some hammering from the storms this past week and could use some whackin, hackin and general clean-up. Looking at both Saturday and Sunday. I'll be at the trailhead at 8:30 Sunday am.
Rode yesterday and area's of concern:
- Tree down before Snake Ridge
- Lil Blue- Incoming grassy area and the canopy is low
- Sprinkler hill past the sand trail.
- The MOE has a lot of down branches.
I bypassed a lot yesterday- too hot!
The more people, the less time it will take. Please give back to the trail and put in whatever time you can this week. Post up what has been completed to save time- Thanks!!!

Thanks for posting up (and stepping up).
I will be out there the next couple of days also doing some trimming.
I want to get the drop into little blue first. Its really narrow and the scare factor of a gator lurking just off the trail is huge....
Mark Spurk and his son Curtis did alot yesterday with a chainsaw. Buko karma points for those chaps!!!
Thanks!! _________________ "By helping out, you are saying thanks to all those who make your trails great!" |

once somebody trims the weeds on blue and that will trail will be done. Did some low limb trimming today, but it appears somebody did some trimming before me. SO thanks
There is a tree down after the cattle gate before beast. It's RIght after the gate, So slow down as i didn't see the tree and off i flew. So watch out till somebody has time to cut that back. Also tree down at the start of the climb into beast. Moe looks good.
O seems to be some kind of 4 wheeler (atv) or golf cart, maybe a small truck that tried to ride from the end of sprinkler hill through the trail to where the wood bridge is before clay city. There was a hole at the first turn into the woods after sprinkler hill from the tires of something. It's the trail where the first mats are laid before the the first wood bridge. Be careful. Tried to fill it in, but it's soft. Friend went otb- over the bars.
Black forest needs a trim job as well on the low lying limbs to.
Hopefully my rambling helps somebody, it is 1 am |

Sorry, we won't be able to make it this week-end but so that we still get some "Good Karma Points", we went out last night and moved that tree by the cattle gate, since one of us decided to go over their handle bars on Sunday, too.
We also cleaned up the mess on the Moe and cut some low hanging branches.
The Beast is now ridable if you take the out in, we were able to cut the tree that was down on the top with the hand saw and get it out of the way, however the big one on the entrance needs a powertool.
We also cleared the bypass (had a couple of trees down) - in case anyone does use it.
We will definitley need a chainsaw for that tree down after Baby Beast...or build a ramp/bridge?? The new Modelo extension is pretty bad, too, mostly because it's not ridden very often.
Make sure you bring plenty of hydration when you go out there - it's bleeping hot out there!!!!!! _________________ DIRT is GOOD - SPEED is GOOD - SCABS are GOOD ----- LIFE IS GREAT!!! |

Thanks!
Maybe if enough of us get out there during the week we can ride on the weekend instead of weed wacking _________________ "By helping out, you are saying thanks to all those who make your trails great!" |

sweet.. thanks ray those weeds were killing me. I was talking to others and asked if the weeds were making them look down more instead of up ahead. After some thought we realized looking down and staying low sure did slow us up on our lap times.
next up black forest?!! |
