| the way to avoid puff-n-suff is now blocked again. if you go straight over the hump then you end up hitting a sand pit and going over your bars, as we learned today. there was an alternate route to the left of that that worked great but a storm must have knocked a log across it. next time someone is in that area with a chainsaw if you could hit that up it would be great, or if the hump can be fixed with a more permanent solution that would be awsome. |

| I did make it, barely, the others did not. It's supposed to be a bypass for beginners, not an obsticle. |

yes, but its not really just a bypass of puff though. it is yellow, and yellow does need a few easy challenges. if you stay to the left it is really pretty smooth with a slight step down. _________________ Steve S is SLOWER than me! |

| if you like it and can make it great, for others its a place for a bad wreck, but I think cutting that log that fell to the left would be a simple and easy solution to this debate. |

im just saying man that even the yellow trails need a little challenge to them. if we "fixed" everywhere that someone wrecked, carter would look like the 2 mile entrance ride at boyette. but anyway, i dont want to get in a argument, we do need to ride sometime. _________________ Steve S is SLOWER than me! |

| I agree it does need to have some challenge, but this one spot I feel is to much of a challenge between the sand, going over blind, and the sharp turn so you don't go in the drink. before it erroded I used to love going over it. |

While I agree that we don't need to start this debate again... you have to remember that "easy challenge" is a very subjective idea. This spot may be something that you don't think twice about, but for someone who is maybe only riding offroad for the first or second time, it could be a death trap. Besides, you're wrong. Yellow trails shouldn't have any real challenges other than going over small roots and dodging trees. _________________ 29" ftw |

It really is easy to overestimate the skills of a newbie or lesser experienced riders. We all remember places in LHP that were once difficult for us. So, without rehashing the debate , let's keep the yellows very yellow.
The track is coming around, but it's always amazing to see what the June/July rains do to the landscape. Let's have a good workday this Saturday. |

My bike comes with brakes. If it does not look right I pull the levers appropriately as I take a look and decide. STOP or GO.
Sometimes I make the wrong choice. |

Please be advised:
Puff Bypass is now cleared of the deadfall tree.
The most direct path still has the root drops, they are helping in controling the erosion there.
Use the 'Middle Route' and your day will be sunny!
