Very happy - and kudos to the work done on 3rd Finger. I was out there yesterday and had a look at it. Can't wait to see and help on finalizing the last big drop.
The Fingers, Beast and the Moe define the Ridge Riders. Hardening these technical trails seem to be the only option after years of use and on going erorsion.
And the end of second finger is just scary right now. Be careful out there. |

Any thoughts on how the last drop of 3rd Finger is going to be handled?
Straight off the top or back to the old (original) route?
I think is would be cool to follow the old route in the washed out area. I put some bricks and blocks in there to stop it from becoming a gully last winter.
A slanted board trail to the right, then another slanted board ramp back to the left finishing up the down the hill. |

2nd finger does need a little love on that first drop. Rutted out and doable but a little dicey. Ray and I were talking a while ago about cinder blocks on that drop, that would help erosion and keep the integrity of the trail. I kind of like the last drop on the 3rd finger, steep and fast. _________________ Steve S is SLOWER than me! |
