Brilliant!! Thanks KK. I'm on here for the first time in a couple of months or so and found that I too had the annoying ads thing that Doc mentioned. I've just installed the adblocker you mentioned, refreshed this page and....no more annoying adverts

Terri not only do I get the damned annoying infolinks all over this site I now how to put up with Ilivids irritating self playing video adverts whenever I come on here.Even if you stop them, they play in pairs at the bottom of the page with the palyback starting at different times just to garble it even more, they then restart automatically as the adverts finish! GRRRR!!!

Sorry, no idea Andy. I haven't been on here for a while, but I haven't had that problem as yet. However, I do have the previous problem back again, with some words appearing as links. Bloody annoying!!

A few days ago this site started trying to download a file called "id". Does anyone know anything about it?

All I know is it's really annoying.

Nah mate, I started getting it a couple of days ago as well.

I just don't click on it though, as the 'link' may look like advertising but could also lead to something more sinister.

Like the "Dislike" button thingy on Facebook.....lot of people tried to add that thinking it was an extra application for their Facebook page but apparently it was a link that led to the downloading of malicious software.

I might post this bit on the Facebook thread as I know some of you have Facebook as well...

....but as for your original problem I also have it.

I'm getting advertising linked to certain words on this site. The words come up in blue and underlined and when I hover over them a pop-up tries to take me to a search engine.

It's something to do with kontera.com and it's slowing down the site. I've googled it and tried one or two things, but nothing has helped.

Am I the only one with this problem?

Sometimes Firefox flags up sites that IE doesn't. I think it was the root phpbb88.com that was infected, rather than our particular forum. It's really easy to set up a new forum and put rogue files on.

I kept getting the same message Ali.

Apparently, Hemal has had warnings come up before about malicious code on the site, but Tugg never seems to get these problems....very odd

Anyway, it all seems ok again now, so fingers crossed it's all sorted....whatever "it" was

Yeah, I had a couple of virus messages on my work computer....and then when i got home, it came up with a different warning message.

Good to see it wasn't just me getting these messages.

Hopefully everything is o.k again and we can all get back to cheering the reds when they do good and slating the heck out of them when they don't win 3-0
