For American, it has to be Bill Haley & the Comets, "Rudy's Rock". This is the number that blew my 12 yr old mind and got me hooked on Rock'n'Roll!!!
British instrumental has to be "Saturday night at the Duckpond" by the Cougars. |

My favourite American instrumental is Sleepwalk by Santo and Johnny. First heard it when Rob and I went to the pictures to see La Bamba and fell in love with it straight away.
Got to agree with Rob on favourite British Instrumental - Saturday Night at the Duckpond is a must. |

Hey Rob thanks for reminding me about Rudy's Rock we had a band at the Fish in the early 70's that used to play it regularly for us !!
not many bands are equiped for this number Rock of all Ages were well there with two saxaphone players !
Also had the great pleasure of seeing the great Rudy doing it live on stage just a few feet away from me _________________ .

| You mentioning a band with two Saxes reminds me. When Rob and I were in the Rebounds back in the early 90's we had two Sax players. One of them, Les Nicholls, used to do a BEAUTIFUL Sax Instrumental version of Over the Rainbow - it was so mellow you would just melt. A very talented man. |
